SAMPLE COLLECTION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Before you start, wash your hands properly and dry with a clean towel.

STEP 2

Remove the device from its packaging, but keep the packaging for sending the test to the laboratory afterwards.

STEP 3

Without touching the white brush, remove the pink cap by pressing the sides with your thumb and index finger.

STEP 4

Assume a comfortable stance for collecting the sample in a standing position (similar to inserting a tampon).

STEP 5

With one hand, spread your labia. With the other, insert the brush into your vagina until the wings touch your labia.

STEP 6

With one hand, hold the transparent casing. With the other, push the pink plunger towards the casing until it meets. When you hear and feel a click, the brush should be in the right position.

STEP 7

Turn the pink plunger 360° in the same direction five times. A click will be heard after each rotation. Once you have turned the plunger five times, you can carefully remove the brush.

STEP 8

With one hand, hold the transparent casing. With the other, pull the pink plunger until the white brush is inside the casing. In the process, do not touch the top part of the brush above the wings.

STEP 9

To ensure the white brush remains inside, hold the transparent section. Use your thumb and index finger to put the cap on the brush. A click will indicate it is in place.

STEP 10

Now simply place the device back inside its original packaging that you set aside.

STEP 11

Place the packaging, with the brush inside, in the biohazard bag and seal it properly. Return the biohazard bag to the BioSmart box and place the box inside the envelope, along with the completed form on this leaflet.

STEP 12

Send an e-mail to info@biosmart.com to notify us that the sample is ready for collection.
