WHY?

Vitamin D is an essential nutrient that plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health. The body can produce vitamin D when the skin is exposed to sunlight. Certain foods such as fatty fish, dairy products, fortified cereals and egg yolks contain small amounts of vitamin D.

Vitamin D deficiency is most common in people with limited sun exposure, those with darker skin, older adults, individuals with certain medical conditions and those with a limited dietary intake.

This sample kit contains a finger-prick blood collection device and clear instructions. With it you can collect a sample at home. Samples are couriered to and tested at the BioSmart accredited pathology laboratory.
